Maharishi has stated that Indian classical dance is essentially a "Vedic" performance, and a practical aspect of Brahm Vidya (Total Knowledge).

In this course, we will learn some basic movements and principles of the Indian classical dance style of Kathak, known for its graceful movements and delicate expressions of the face. As we enjoy the blissful practice of dance and move together to music, we will also see how the technique of dance is closely related to Consciousness and Total Knowledge and is a natural technique for holistic health.

Dance is a wonderful means of inner expression. Regular practice of classical dance de-stresses the physiology and improves flexibility, body-mind coordination and strength. It also complements the practice of Transcendental Meditation and it its advanced techniques, making our experiences deeper.
